Product description
Hardwood from Africa: namely the rock-hard Iroko wood.
This is an expressive, hand-carved wooden sculpture depicting the torso of a woman. The work stands out for its organic forms and the serene expression of the face, which gives it an understated yet powerful presence.
The sculpture is crafted from a single piece of wood with a rich, warm brown color and a clear grain structure. The front of the sculpture is carefully sanded smooth and polished, creating a refined contrast with the more roughly worked, almost unfinished back. This duality in finish emphasizes the artisanal process and the natural origin of the material.
The overall condition of the sculpture is good, with a character that has been shaped by time and the nature of the wood. The smooth finish on the front accentuates the flowing lines of the body, while the back shows a more rustic and unprocessed texture, adding depth and authenticity to the piece.
This sculpture is a striking object that comes into its own on a dresser, a console, or a pedestal. It fits seamlessly into various interior styles, from modern and minimalist to a more eclectic or Bohemian decor, where it introduces an element of natural art and craftsmanship.
The sculpture can be shipped via a courier at an additional cost, or via Whoppah services. Or
