Artist Klaas Gubbels (1934) is one of the most famous Dutch artists of the moment. In addition to paintings, drawings and sculptures , Klaas Gubbels also likes to make woodcuts and stencil prints. In his work you can often see that he took a different turn during the making process. A slightly 'painted away' spout of a kettle or an extra pencil line through a print. A work is perfect if it contains one in perfection. That's how life is. And although the subjects are the same time and time again, the works themselves are always different due to a multitude of techniques, materials and colors.
