Private sellerProduct description
This is a vintage Butler serving trolley, a Postmodern design (80/90) from the renowned French manufacturer Ligne Rosette. The piece is defined by its elegant, minimalist aesthetic, combining functional mobility with a distinctive two-tiered oval silhouette.
The trolley features a slender frame constructed from lacquered metal, finished in a light grey or off-white colour, which provides a clean, modern structure. It supports two generous oval trays with a warm, wood-grain finish, offering a pleasing material contrast. Four discreet castors at the base ensure smooth and easy movement, making it a highly versatile piece for serving or display. This design embodies the practical and contemporary ethos for which Ligne Rosette is celebrated.
Overall, the piece is in a very good state of preservation, showing only minor signs of use that are consistent with its age and function. The structure is sound, and the finishes on both the metal frame and the wooden trays are well-maintained, retaining their original character. The castors are fully functional.
As a mobile bar cart, a flexible side table, or a serving assistant in a dining room, this trolley offers both style and utility. Its refined form allows it to integrate seamlessly into a variety of interior styles, from modern and minimalist to more eclectic living spaces.
