About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is a set of three Libellula chairs, designed by Giovanni Carini for the Italian manufacturer Planula. The design is a nod to classic tubular frame chairs, but with its own playful twist, characteristic of Italian design from that period. The chair is known for its minimalist and elegant construction, reminiscent of the light and refined forms of a Dragonfly.
The chairs have a chrome-plated metal tubular frame that flows in a continuous line, forming a sled base. The seat and backrest are made of stretched, white-colored leather, providing a light and comfortable seating experience. This minimalist use of materials not only makes the chairs visually appealing but also practical and stackable.
The set is in good vintage condition, with a character that matches its age. The original materials have been preserved and show a patina that tells the story of the chairs. They are ready for a new round in a living or working space and fit perfectly into a modern or mid-century interior. They are an excellent choice for lovers of Italian design and add a touch of design history to any room. The springs and fastening eyes show slight corrosion.
