Product description
My last torso ... as mentioned in the title.
Wood type: the wonderful Wengé hardwood.
Rock hard to chisel, almost no artist works with this type of wood. Too hard, too difficult!
This is an expressive wooden sculpture that depicts the female torso in an abstract way. The work is characterized by a dynamic, spiral composition that emphasizes both the full forms and the negative space, resulting in a powerful and modern silhouette.
The sculpture is crafted from a solid piece of wood, with the artist using the natural grain of the material to give texture and depth to the surface. The dark brown finish accentuates the organic lines and the flowing transitions between the different sections of the torso. The sculpture is a unique, handmade piece.
The overall condition of the sculpture is good, with a character that testifies to its age and authenticity. The patina of the wood is rich and consistent over the entire surface, giving it a warm and lived-in appearance.
Due to its sculptural quality and tactile use of material, this artwork is a striking object for a dresser, console, or bookshelf. It fits well within various interior styles, from modern and minimalist to a more eclectic or organic decor.
Have the sculpture picked up via Whoppah services to avoid damage. Shipping is possible but takes time and money.
