Product description
This object is a characteristic combination of a Floor light and a side table, executed in the style of the Amsterdam School. The design testifies to the expressive and artisanal character of this Dutch art movement from the early 20th century, where functionality and decorative art come together.
The construction is made of dark stained wood, presumably oak, with a stand that features typical Amsterdam School carving. The lamp has an adjustable arm and an integrated round side table with a hammered metal top, finished with decorative nails. The conical lampshade is also made of hammered metal and has round cutouts inlaid with parchment, which provides a diffused and atmospheric light.
The lamp is in good, original condition consistent with its age. The wood and metal show an authentic patina that contributes to the historical character of the piece. The wiring is new, with a fabric-covered cable.
This lamp-table combination is a functional and sculptural element that fits perfectly next to an armchair in a reading nook. It is a striking piece that adds a historical accent to both a classic and an eclectic interior.
