Product description
A rosewood dining chair by Johannes Andersen for Uldum with original cognac-colored leather. Comfortable seating.
The chair has an organically shaped frame, made of solid rosewood. The frame has good dovetail joints and the characteristic Danish details. The chair is in neat used condition, with light signs of wear. The leather is still beautiful. The last photo is from an Uldum Mobelfabrik catalog, presumably from the 1960s.
Andersen's designs are characterized by organic, almost animalistic forms. He designed for a large number of well-known Danish furniture manufacturers such as Uldum and Silkeborg. He belonged, along with Aage Schmidt-Kristensen, Niels Moller, Ib Kofoed Larssen, Poul Cadovius, Kai Kristiansen, and Arne Vodder, to the Second Danish School.
