Private sellerProduct description
The legendary Danish "Congo" ice bucket by Jens Quistgaard for Dansk Designs. 1961. Its shape is inspired by Viking ships.
Made of teak wood with prominent grain and assembled with staves, its sculptural cylindrical form reflects Quistgaard's mastery in combining functional design with warm natural materials. The ice bucket retains its original inner lining and custom-fitted lid, allowing it to effectively insulate ice.
It is sealed on the base and numbered 810.
Measures 39.5 cm high.
