Product description
This is a pair of Hungarian lounge chairs from the Mid-Century period, defined by their solid wood construction and generous upholstery. The design features a low-slung, relaxed silhouette with distinctive wide armrests, characteristic of Eastern European modernism from that era. Most like produced by the Hungarian Craftsmanship Company.
Crafted with a dark-stained wooden frame, these chairs showcase a rich, reddish-brown finish. The dimensions are a height of 90 cm, a width of 82 cm, and a depth of 84 cm, with a comfortable seat height of 37 cm. The chairs are upholstered in a durable, textured textile in a neutral beige and creme colourway, with button-tufted detailing on the backrest and arm cushions that adds visual depth.
The chairs are presented in very good vintage condition, retaining their authentic character. A significant update is the recent professional re-webbing of the seat base, ensuring firm support and extending the life of the pieces.
