Product description
This mantel clock is a characteristic piece from the Art Deco era, combining noble materials and a sculptural composition. Its design combines the richness of marble and bronze with a naturalistic aesthetic, embodied by the motif of swallows in flight.
The structure rests on a rectangular base of pink and white veined marble. The clock's circular dial is set in a white stone, probably onyx or alabaster, and encircled with gilded brass. Beside it, a sculptural group in patinated bronze depicts two swallows landing on a painted ceramic base, adding a dynamic and poetic element to the ensemble. This piece was made in France during the 1920s or 1930s.
The clock is in a general condition consistent with its age, retaining its original character and patina. The materials have aged naturally, which testifies to its history and authenticity. The ensemble constitutes a complete and functional decorative object.
Ideal for adorning a fireplace, a console, or a sideboard, this mantelpiece set fits perfectly into a classic, Art Deco, or Parisian style interior. It brings a touch of historical elegance and refinement to a room.
Does not work as is, needs to be serviced.
