The work is signed and numbered.
Helmuth van Galen's screen prints and paintings are best described as abstract interiors. The colored vertical strips, panels actually, create complex vistas and suggest more underlying spaces. Not actual rooms, but rather imaginary divisions of space. The power of suggestion perhaps, but you actually feel the depth.
