This is a Lucerna floor lamp by the Italian maker Harvey Guzzini, dating from the 1970s. It's a classic piece of Space Age design, known for its fun, planet-like shape and bold use of modern materials. The lamp has a large spherical shade made from perspex in a bright orange colour, which gives off a really warm and cosy glow. This shade sits on a slender, height-adjustable stem and a circular base, both finished in polished chrome. The design really captures the innovative feel of Italian lighting from that era. Overall, the lamp is in great vintage condition, showing character consistent with its age and history. The perspex and chrome have been well looked after.
