Product description
This is a three-piece set of Gouda pottery, manufactured in the Netherlands. The set consists of a lidded pot and two sphere vases of different sizes, characteristic of the traditional Dutch pottery style. The decor, named 'Quo Vadis', is a classic example of the craftsmanship for which Gouda is known.
Each piece is hand-painted on a cream-colored ceramic base. The polychrome floral motif is executed in vibrant colors such as blue, red, yellow, and green. The undersides are marked with 'Gouda Holland', the decor name 'Quo Vadis', and various model and painter numbers, confirming authenticity. The lidded pot has a contrasting green glaze on the inside.
The set is in very good condition, consistent with its age from the second half of the 20th century. The glaze has retained its luster and the colors are still bright. There are no visible restorations, so the original condition has been well preserved.
This decorative pottery set is a characterful addition to both a classic and an eclectic interior. The pieces can be presented together as an ensemble on a dresser or in a display cabinet, or used individually to add color accents to a room.
