Product description
This is a sofa bed designed by the Dutch designer Gijs van der Sluis. The piece of furniture is an example of functionalist design, combining a minimalist aesthetic with practical versatility.
The design features a sleek, black metal frame that forms a solid base for the upholstered elements. The upholstery is made of a rich, petrol-colored velour fabric that adds a soft texture and a deep color. Thanks to a simple mechanism, the backrest can be folded back, transforming the sofa into a comfortable single bed.
The overall condition of this vintage sofa bed is good. The velour upholstery is intact and shows the characteristic nap of the material, which contributes to its lively appearance. The metal frame is sturdy and structurally sound, with a finish appropriate for the age of the furniture.
With its compact form and dual function, this sofa bed is an ideal solution for smaller living spaces, a guest room, or a studio. Its timeless design fits seamlessly into both modern and Mid-Century or industrial interiors.
