This iconic 'Airport Sofa' was designed in 1956 by the legendary Danish architect and designer Arne Jacobsen for the SAS Royal Terminal in Copenhagen. This specific piece was produced in 1991 and features the original Fritz Hansen hallmark on the underside, guaranteeing its authenticity. Unique Paul Smith Upholstery The sofa has recently been completely and professionally re-upholstered with an exclusive, multi-coloured striped fabric by Paul Smith (designed in collaboration with the renowned textile house Maharam). The seat and back cushions have also been completely replaced with original quality and custom-made. Paul Smith's iconic vertical stripes transform this sleek, minimalist piece of furniture into a fantastic design statement that fits into modern, eclectic, and mid-century interiors alike. Since the re-upholstery, the sofa has not been used, meaning the upholstery and interior are in absolute new condition.
