About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This set of two Barstools was designed in 1968 by Piet Hein for the Danish manufacturer Fritz Hansen. The stools are a prime example of Scandinavian design, combining functionality with a refined, minimalist aesthetic.
The construction consists of a sturdy, chrome-plated tubular steel frame resting on a solid, satin-polished aluminum base. The round seats are upholstered in black leather, creating an elegant contrast to the shiny metal. As confirmed by the label on the underside, these pieces were made in Denmark and are subject to strict Danish furniture manufacturer control, which guarantees their authenticity and high quality of workmanship.
The set is in very good condition, consistent with its age and careful use. The materials have developed a slight, authentic patina that enhances the character of the stools without compromising their structural integrity or aesthetic appearance. The leather upholstery is intact and well preserved.
With their elegant and understated design, these Barstools are perfect for a kitchen island, a home bar, or a high work table. They blend seamlessly into modern, minimalist, or mid-century inspired interiors, adding a touch of Danish design history to any room.
