Product description
This is a vintage ceramic jug, manufactured by the Italian pottery Fratelli Fanciullacci. The piece is a characteristic example of mid-century Italian design, recognizable by the combination of texture and gilded details. The jug is made of ceramic and has a spherical body with a narrow neck and an elegant handle. The exterior is finished with a sgraffito technique, creating a tactile, horizontally striped pattern in an off-white color. The design is enhanced by gilded accents on the handle and a stylized bird in relief. The interior is surprisingly finished with a contrasting pink glaze. As marked on the bottom, this object was produced in Italy. The overall condition of the jug is good and consistent with its age. The original finish and handmade character, including the handwritten markings on the bottom, contribute to the authentic appearance of the object. It exhibits the charm one would expect from a vintage item. This jug is a striking decorative object that fits well on a sideboard, in a bookcase, or as part of a ceramic collection. It adds a touch of Mid-Century Modern and Italian elegance to various interior styles.
