Float is a sculptural table that plays with our senses and perception: the imposing metal cone seems to float above the mirror-polished stainless steel base. The table's simple geometric shape is enhanced by subtle details such as the thin sculpted lip around the edge of the top, which gives the whole piece its lightness. The Float coffee table is appreciated by many interior designers. It is part of various projects such as the lounges of Shanghai airport or the Lyon Country House guesthouse. The Float coffee table by La Chance, designed by Luca Nichetto, is a sculptural piece that is part of the public collections of the Mobilier national. The production of Float is a real technical challenge, and each table is produced by hand. The upper cone is turned in a workshop whose specialty for over a century has been the production of immense clock faces. The painting operations are then carried out in a vintage car restoration workshop in Italy. These old bodywork techniques make it possible to obtain a perfect shine and depth of lacquer.
