Product description
This unique Decorative Objects is a tribute to the Dutch shipbuilder Royal Van Lent, one of the founders of the prestigious Feadship group. The piece displays a stylized silhouette of a superyacht, a symbol of the craftsmanship and luxury for which the shipyard is known.
The object is crafted from a combination of materials. The base is made of warm wood, on which a metal plate with the inscription 'Royal Van Lent' is affixed. The yacht silhouette, executed in blue and white, rests on a transparent plexiglass casing that reveals the internal electronics. This built-in lighting accentuates the model from below, creating a particularly striking visual effect.
The overall condition of the object is good, with a character that suits its age. The combination of the classic wooden base with the technical, almost industrial look of the visible wiring gives it a distinctive charm. It is a rare piece of maritime memorabilia that celebrates the history of Dutch yacht building.
This collectible is an excellent addition to a study, office, or a maritime-inspired interior. It functions both as a sculptural element and as ambient lighting, and will certainly be a conversation starter for enthusiasts of nautical design and engineering. The lighting works in 2 modes. The motor does not rotate.
