Modular "Transat" Armchair designed and produced following a commission in 1990/91.
This creation is not from an industrial model: it was entirely designed and manufactured by its author.
The structure, in solid ash, is entirely worked in the mass. The constituent elements are made in two parts then laminated; the curves of the structure therefore do not result from a bent wood process.
The principle of the Armchair is that of a deckchair, with a seat and a backrest allowing the inclination to be modified to adapt the position to the desired comfort.

A micro-series creation
Only 7 copies of this model were produced.
The Armchair offered here is one of the copies kept by its creator since their production.
I have photographs taken during the production of the model in July 1991, documenting its origin and age.
Additional documentation on the design and manufacture of the Armchair can be provided to the buyer.
Possibility of forming a pair
I also keep the original structure of a second copy from the same micro-series, which has never been upholstered.
It would therefore be possible, at the request of a buyer wishing to form a pair, to have the seat and upholstery of the second Armchair made directly by its creator, respecting the original design.
The structure of this second copy is also a 1990/91 creation and not a contemporary manufacture.

Note: The Armchair is dismountable for transport: the seat easily separates from the vertical part and the leather is also dismountable.
Indicative seat height: approximately 35 cm depending on the inclination of the Armchair.
