About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
A set of four chairs by the Danish manufacturer Fastrup, produced in the sixties. These chairs are a characteristic example of mid-century Danish design, with a sculptural silhouette reflecting the aesthetics of the Space Age era.
The construction consists of a black lacquered wooden frame with flowing, organic lines and a robust T-shaped base. The seats have recently been re-upholstered with a vibrant orange bouclé fabric, creating a striking texture and color contrast with the dark frame. The design is both visually distinctive and functionally sturdy, typical of the quality standards of Danish furniture makers from that period.
The overall condition of the chairs is very good, with the new upholstery giving a fresh and unused appearance. The original wooden frame has been well preserved and retains its structural integrity and characteristic shape.
These chairs are ideal as Dining chairs or as accent chairs in a living space. They fit well into an interior with Mid-Century Modern, Scandinavian or eclectic influences and add a touch of color and design history to any room.
