This is the iconic 'Mama' armchair, designed by Denis Santachiara in 1995 for the Italian brand Baleri. This set, consisting of the armchair and the matching 'Tato' pouf, is a playful and comfortable example of postmodern design.
The armchair is upholstered in a deep red fabric with a contrasting orange bolster cushion as a headrest. The organic, rounded shapes invite relaxation. The accompanying spherical 'Tato' pouf is covered with a dark blue stretch fabric. The set is a well-known design from the 90s and was originally purchased from Roche Bobois in 1999, as shown by the original invoice.
The overall condition is good, in accordance with its age. There is a small hole in the fabric of the pouf. The original upholstery has retained a lively character, and the structure of both the chair and the pouf is solid. The set comes with the original purchase invoice and documentation, confirming its authenticity and provenance.
