Mart van Schijndel (1943 – 1999) was one of the most successful self-producing designers in the Netherlands. The vase was first shown in the gallery of Hans Appenzeller (Amsterdam) in 1981. Due to the success the vase garnered there, it was decided to start producing the vase in series. Van Schijndel won the 1984 Arango International Design Contest “Glass that Works” in Miami (US) with the vase. Height 29 cm. No damage. Provided with signature. Made in Holland.
