This cobalt blue porcelain vase, made in the Sèvres style, embodies the elegance of 19th-century French decorative arts. The piece is distinguished by its rich hand-painted decoration, featuring a central medallion depicting a gallant couple in a pastoral landscape, signed Robini. The vase's slender form, measuring 58 centimeters high by 19 centimeters wide, is enhanced with delicate floral motifs and garlands gilded with fine gold. It weighs 3500 grams. The contrast between the deep blue background and the luminous gilding underscores the finesse of the execution, characteristic of porcelain production of this period. The object is in a state of preservation consistent with its age, retaining all its character and the brilliance of its original colors. There are some superficial scratches. The foot has unfortunately been broken, but this is barely noticeable as it has been very well repaired. The repair makes the maker's mark illegible, but any information on this would be greatly appreciated! Finally, the circular base ensures perfect stability. This classic vase will find its place naturally on a period console table, a marble mantelpiece, or in the center of a dining table.
