Product description
Beautiful Danish mid-century coffee table, produced in the 1960s. The table comes from Boskoop, where it was part of an interior with a lot of Danish design for years. The designer and manufacturer are unfortunately unknown, but the material, construction, and finish clearly show that this is a high-quality piece of furniture. The table has been fully restored in our workshop. The rosewood has been carefully sanded, nourished, and re-finished with a protective silk-matte finish. As a result, the wood has regained its warm, deep color, and the exceptional grain of the top, in particular, stands out beautifully. The table is again in excellent condition, with subtle traces of use deliberately preserved. The design is typical of Danish modernism from this period: long, low, and very elegant in appearance. The generous top rests on a slender base with slim, tapered legs and a horizontal connection between both sets of legs. The black metal braces under the top provide extra sturdiness and form a beautiful technical detail. An impressive piece of Danish design, generously sized but still remarkably modern thanks to its clean lines and slender construction. The distinctive grain of the rosewood is particularly well showcased on this large top.
