Danish Teak Bookcase, Denmark, 1960s A slender Danish bookcase from the 1960s, characterised by its clean proportions, warm teak finish and understated construction. With a depth of only 27 cm, the cabinet offers generous display and storage space while maintaining a remarkably light presence in the room. The open front is divided by three shelves, creating four spacious compartments suitable for books, ceramics, glassware or other objects. The shelves can be removed, allowing the interior to be adjusted to different uses. Subtle solid-wood edging frames the cabinet, while the tapered legs lift the piece elegantly from the floor and reinforce its characteristic Scandinavian mid-century appearance. The teak displays a warm, varied grain throughout, particularly across the shelves and lower section. The bookcase remains in good vintage condition with light traces of age and use consistent with its period. Met een diepte van slechts 27 cm biedt de kast verrassend veel ruimte voor boeken en objecten, terwijl het geheel visueel licht en elegant blijft. De open kast is verdeeld door drie legplanken en biedt daarmee vier ruime compartimenten voor boeken, keramiek, glaswerk of andere objecten. De planken kunnen worden uitgenomen, waardoor de indeling eenvoudig aan verschillende toepassingen kan worden aangepast. Subtiele massief houten randen omlijsten de kast, terwijl de taps toelopende poten het geheel van de vloer tillen en het karakteristieke Scandinavische mid-century silhouet versterken. Het teak heeft door de gehele kast een warme en levendige nerftekening, die met name mooi zichtbaar is op de legplanken en het onderste gedeelte.
