This is the Zyklus armchair, designed by Peter Maly for the German manufacturer Cor. The piece is characterized by its postmodern aesthetic and the unique combination of a tubular frame and functional wheels, making it a recognizable design from the 1980s. The construction consists of a matte grey metal frame, which forms the base for the seat and backrest. These are upholstered in black leather, creating a stark contrast with the frame. The armrests feature a ribbed plastic grip, and the rear legs have been replaced by wheels, a defining characteristic of the Zyklus design. A loose, cylindrical headrest in beige leather completes the ensemble. The leather of the seat and backrest is in perfect condition; absolutely no signs of wear. However, the leather of the headrest is stained and rough. The construction is solid, and the original materials have been preserved. This armchair functions excellently as a striking accent piece in a living room, study, or office. The design fits well within an eclectic, modern, or postmodern interior and can be combined with both vintage and contemporary furniture.
