This is a color lithograph by the Hungarian-French artist Marcel Vertes (1895-1961). Vertes was known for his vibrant depictions of Parisian life, fashion, and theater, and this work is a characteristic example of his style. The lithograph captures the dynamic energy of dancers, a beloved theme in his oeuvre. The work is a limited edition, numbered 205 of 250 copies, as can be seen at the bottom left. The lithograph is signed in pencil by the artist 'Vertes' at the bottom right. The composition is characterized by flowing, expressive lines in black and vibrant red accents on cream-colored paper.
