Christian Vogel was born and raised in East Germany and currently resides in Brussels.
Vogel is inspired by pop art and abstract expressionism, color field painters such as Mark Rothko and Barnett Newman.
He is not a traditional painter, he does not work with oil on canvas, but makes his paintings with enamel, wall and spray paint on vintage glass frames.
A large part of his working process is left to chance, the dripping of paint and the way a certain material reacts with each other.
Material:
enamel, spray paint and wall paint on glass frame!
