Product description
A ceramic lidded vase, manufactured by the Belgian manufacturer H. Bequet from Quaregnon. This piece is a characteristic example of the craftsmanship for which Bequet was known in the mid-20th century. The design combines a classic urn shape with a vibrant, hand-painted decor. The vase is made of high-quality ceramic with a glossy, black glaze as its base. On this, a rich floral pattern is applied in a palette of red, orange, yellow, green, and blue, accented with elegant golden contour lines. The lid is crowned by an ornate, gold-colored handle. On the bottom, the piece is marked with 'H. Bequet Quaregnon' and the model number 286, confirming its authenticity. The overall condition of the vase is very good, retaining its bright colors and the luster of the glaze. The piece shows character consistent with its age, without detracting from its aesthetic value. The original paper sticker 'Peint à la main' is partially present, which is proof of its artisanal production. This lidded vase is a striking decorative object that adds a touch of Mid-Century elegance to any interior. It functions excellently as a standalone work of art on a sideboard, in a display cabinet, or on a console, and fits well within both classic and eclectic living styles.
