Product description
A carved wooden nutcracker in the shape of a squirrel. It features intricate carvings on its body, depicting geometric patterns and a rosette motif. Light signs of use.
Wonderful vintage hand-carved wooden garlic press. designed as a highly stylised animal. The functional utensil has become an almost sculptural object. with long curved handles and beautifully carved geometric. cross-hatched and sunburst decoration.
Entirely made from wood. with a warm natural patina. Its unusual zoomorphic shape and handcrafted details give it a strong folk-art / primitive design character. making it equally appealing today as a decorative kitchen or display object.
There is an old glued repair to one of the ears. which is relatively discreet when displayed. Otherwise in good vintage condition with natural traces of age and use.
A quirky piece of functional folk art that looks particularly good displayed open as a small wooden sculpture.
