About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
This Scandinavian tapestry from the 1970s is an expressive example of the textile art of that era. The piece is characterized by its dense, relief-like embroidery and a dynamic, figurative composition depicting a dramatic scene.
The tapestry is made of textile fibers in a complex palette of earth tones, orange, yellow, green, and violet hues. The elaborate embroidery technique creates a vibrant, almost three-dimensional surface that emphasizes the movement and drama of the depicted narrative. The artwork is hung on a simple bamboo rod, which complements the organic character of the piece and is typical of 70s aesthetics.
The piece is in very good condition, consistent with its age and careful preservation. The colors are strong, and the textile structures are completely intact, giving the piece an authentic and timeless character. The craftsmanship is visible in every stitch, making it a unique item.
As a central artwork on a wall, this tapestry adds depth, texture, and a narrative dimension to any room. It fits perfectly with Mid-Century, Scandinavian, or Brutalist style interiors and creates a strong visual accent in a living room, dining area, or hallway.
