About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
This is a vintage oriental room screen, crafted with a wooden structure and silk panels. The piece stands out for its hand-carved details and fabric panels depicting traditional scenes, offering a decorative and functional presence.
The room screen consists of three articulated panels, each with a height of 184 cm, a width of 39 cm, and a depth of 2 cm. The structure is made of solid wood stained in a dark tone, with openwork crests and turned balusters at the top. The central panels are covered in silk, displaying detailed landscapes and courtly scenes in a palette of golden, brown, and multiple hues. The back features plain wooden panels.
The piece is in good general condition, retaining its structural integrity and the original wood finish. The patina developed over time contributes to the authentic character of the room screen, reflecting its history and use throughout the years. The silk panels maintain the vibrancy of their illustrations.
As a room divider or an impressive decorative backdrop, this room screen elegantly integrates into classic, eclectic, or Asian-inspired interiors. Its craftsmanship and narrative value make it a distinctive focal point for a living room, bedroom, or study.
