About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is a characteristic side table from the seventies, made of chromed metal and tinted glass. The piece embodies the aesthetic of the era with its sleek, geometric lines and the contrast between the shiny and dark materials.
The construction consists of a cube-shaped chrome frame, in which panels of dark tinted, or 'smoked', glass are set. The top and bottom are finished with black lacquered wood, providing a solid base and an additional visual element. This design is representative of the Hollywood Regency and Space Age styles that were popular in the 1970s, combining glamour and functionality.
The overall condition of the table is good, retaining its vintage character. The chromed frame has retained its shine and the glass panels are intact. The lacquered wooden surfaces show clear signs of a lifetime of use, which contributes to the authentic appearance of the furniture.
This side table is versatile and fits well next to a sofa, as a bedside table in a bedroom, or as a display for a plant or object. It is a distinctive item that adds a touch of retro elegance to an eclectic, modern, or vintage interior.
