About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is a Bonanza three-seater sofa, designed by the Finnish designer Esko Pajamies for Asko in the 1960s. The piece is a significant example of mid-century Finnish design, celebrated for its robust construction and the expressive quality of its materials.
The sofa features a solid wood frame, distinguished by its strong, architectural lines and visible finger-joint details. The wood is finished in a dark green stain that allows the natural grain to show through, creating a rich, textured appearance. It is furnished with three separate seat and back cushions, upholstered in a durable, light beige / rose textile with button tufting, which provides a soft contrast to the angularity of the frame.
This vintage piece is in good condition, consistent with its age and history. The frame remains solid and structurally sound, and the cushions retain their shape and comfort. On the legs of the Sofa there are some signs of use (see photo) and the cushions have some discolouration due to UV.
The Bonanza sofa's distinctive silhouette allows it to easily stand freely and makes it a focal point in any living space.
