An elegant small antique pewter cup, raised on a pedestal base and featuring a beautiful scroll handle. Its silhouette charmingly adopts the aesthetics of classic silversmithing, in a more restrained version where the metal's natural patina lends it full depth. The rim of the cup is accentuated by a delicate beaded border, a decoration also found at the base of the foot. The generous and deep hemispherical cup rests on a widely flared circular base, which gives it a very pleasing presence despite its modest dimensions. This cup is in keeping with neoclassical-inspired tableware. Today, it can resume its original function or become a charming decorative piece, placed on a table, a bookshelf, or among a collection of antique pewter.
