Product description
This is an antique Chinese plant stand, crafted from richly carved rose wood with a distinctive marble top. The piece exemplifies traditional Eastern artisanship, showcasing a form that is both functional and highly decorative.
The stand is constructed from a dark-stained wood, intricately hand-carved with classic Chinese motifs, including representations of bamboo stalks and foliage. An inset, oval-shaped slab of variegated rose-colored marble serves as the tabletop, providing a durable and elegant surface. The four cabriole-style legs are similarly carved and are joined by a lower stretcher for stability, reflecting the thoughtful design and construction typical of its period and origin.
As an antique item, this stand possesses a character and patina that have developed over many years. The overall condition is good, with the integrity of the structure and the detail of the carvings well-preserved. The piece stands as a testament to the durability of its materials and the skill of its maker. Their is a slight break in the wood patern- check all photos.
This plant stand is well-suited to serve as a pedestal for a prized plant, a vase of flowers, or a small sculpture. Its elegant silhouette and detailed craftsmanship would make it a compelling accent in an interior with classic, eclectic, or Asian-inspired decor.
