For sale: A beautiful, original antique Victorian office chair (English desk chair / captain's chair) from the late 19th century (circa 1880–1900). This characteristic piece of furniture is made of high-quality hardwood (presumably walnut wood) and has a magnificent classic appearance. The chair features a comfortable, tufted seat with decorative nails, an openwork backrest, and elegantly curved armrests. Specifications & Condition: Mechanism: The chair is swivelable and the original metal/wooden swivel mechanism still functions properly. Base: Stands on its original four-legged base with classic metal swivel castors. Condition: Is in a beautiful, authentic antique condition. The woodwork and the seat have acquired a beautiful, lived-in patina over the years (light superficial signs of use appropriate for its age, see photos). A unique and stylish item for a classic office, study, or as an eye-catcher in the interior.
