Antique oak neo-Renaissance wall coat rack with 5 hooks
Beautiful, characterful antique oak wall coat rack in neo-Renaissance style, richly executed with very detailed wood carving.
The coat rack features a beautiful central depiction with two figures/putti carrying a richly filled basket, surrounded by graceful tendrils, leaves, and floral motifs. At both ends are beautifully carved figural heads.
The five original/older metal coat hooks are finished in a classic dark brass/bronze color and give the whole a particularly authentic look.
The piece has a beautiful dark, lived-in patina and shows normal signs of use and age appropriate for its age. A very decorative and heavily crafted piece that is both functional and particularly suitable as an eye-catcher in a hall, entrance, or rustic/classic interior.
