Product description
This is a set of two porcelain soup tureens, designed by the Italian designer Ambrogio Rossari for the German manufacturer Scherzer Bavaria. The design is a prime example of mid-20th century modernist aesthetics, characterized by a minimalist and functional approach to form.
The tureens are made of high-quality white porcelain with a glossy glaze. The set consists of two identical bowls with a spherical silhouette, each equipped with two sleekly designed, integrated handles. The matching lids follow the round shape and have a subtle recess for a soup ladle. The bottom of each tureen is marked with the Scherzer Bavaria stamp, confirming its authenticity and German origin.
The set is in exceptionally good condition, without any visible signs of wear. The porcelain is completely intact and the glaze is intact throughout, indicating careful preservation over the years. Its completeness and impeccable condition make this a special object for collectors of European design ceramics.
Due to their sculptural quality, these tureens function both as elegant Crockery for special occasions and as decorative objects. They fit seamlessly into a modern or minimalist interior, for example on a sideboard or in a display cabinet.
