Product description
This is a portfolio with a series of lithographs by the Belgian artist Albert Goethals, published by Die Keure in Bruges. The collection showcases Goethals' characteristic skill in capturing the architectural and atmospheric essence of the historic city of Bruges.
The set consists of 30 lithographic prints, printed in black ink on cream-colored paper. According to the information on the folder, this series was originally published in 1941. Each print is signed in the plate and depicts an iconic Bruges cityscape, such as the Markt, the Groene Rei, and various characteristic streets and buildings. The works are presented in their original cardboard portfolio.
The lithographs themselves are generally in good condition, retaining the clarity and fine details of the drawings. The paper has a slight, even discoloration consistent with its age, which contributes to the authentic character of the set. The original portfolio shows clear signs of use and wear, testifying to its history.
This collection offers a unique opportunity to bring a piece of Bruges Art history into your home. The prints can be framed individually or as a series and fit perfectly into a classic, rural, or eclectic interior, where they create an atmosphere of timeless elegance and nostalgia.
