About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This abstract painting from the 1970s displays an expressive composition of color and form. The work is characterized by a dynamic interplay of powerful brushstrokes and a vibrant palette, making it a striking presence within the abstract art movement of that period.
The artwork is executed in oil or acrylic on a support, where the thick, impasto paint layers add texture and depth to the surface. The colors range from deep black and bright blue to vibrant green, yellow, and red, creating a strong visual contrast. The painting is signed and dated '72 in the lower right corner and is presented in a simple, dark wooden frame with a light passe-partout. Work on paper on board (not glued). Ready to hang.
The painting is in good vintage condition, appropriate for its age. The colors have remained bright and the texture of the paint is well preserved. The frame shows some signs of age, which contributes to the authentic character of the whole.
This colorful work comes into its own perfectly in a modern or eclectic interior. It provides a powerful visual accent on the wall and combines well with both vintage designer furniture and contemporary interiors.
