Superb ceramic jug handcrafted and stamped by Poterie du Breuil, dating from the 1960s.
This piece captivates with its sculptural silhouette: a generously bulging base, a tapered then flared neck, and an elongated handle perfectly integrated into the shape. The glaze, particularly refined, develops a mineral texture in subtle shades of powder pink and deep speckled green, creating an almost volcanic effect. Each piece being the result of artisanal work, the variations in glaze make this example unique.
Typical of the formal exploration of French workshops in the 1950s-60s, in the spirit of Vallauris and the modernist movement, this jug can be used as a soliflore or simply as a decorative sculpture.
