About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This set of six armchairs is a creation by American designer Frederick Weinberg, dating from the mid-20th century. These pieces perfectly illustrate the Mid-Century Modern aesthetic, combining industrial materials with organic and sculptural forms. The distinctive silhouette, with its flared backrest and integrated armrests, makes these armchairs a notable example of post-war design.
The structure of each armchair is made of black lacquered metal, forming slender, angular legs that provide both stability and visual lightness. The seat and backrest are crafted from woven wicker, offering a natural texture and flexible comfort. Small spherical brass tips adorn the top of the backrest, adding a refined finishing touch to the set.
These armchairs are in good overall condition, presenting an authentic vintage character that testifies to their history. The metal structure and wicker weaving are well preserved, reflecting careful use over the decades. The set retains its structural integrity and original appeal.
Ideal as a series of dining chairs or as accent chairs in a living room, this set integrates harmoniously into Mid-Century, bohemian, or eclectic style interiors. Their graphic design and combination of materials bring an elegant and textured presence to any space.
