Private sellerProduct description
This set of six chairs was designed by the famous Czech architect and designer Bořek Šípek. It is the "Scarabas" model, an emblematic piece illustrating the designer's neo-baroque and postmodern approach, characterized by theatrical forms and contrasting materials. Each chair features a black lacquered wood structure, creating a solid and elegant base. The seat is upholstered in black tufted leather, offering both comfort and a touch of classic sophistication. The backrest, in a vibrant red, is covered in textile with a discreet pattern, while the sculptural and enveloping armrests, also covered in black leather, evoke horns or organic forms, adding a dramatic and unique dimension to the silhouette. Produced by Sipek, these chairs are a remarkable example of 1980s and 1990s design. The set is presented in excellent condition, retaining its original upholstery and structural integrity. The bold contrast between red and black, combined with the expressive form, makes these chairs functional works of art. Ideal as a dining set or as distinctive accent chairs, this group of six pieces will bring a touch of character and boldness to a postmodern, eclectic or contemporary interior. They are destined to become the focal point of any room. small wear on the back feet
