Product description
A magnificent, authentic antique stoneware pot from the well-known Belgian brand Moutarde L'Impériale (produced by the famous mustard manufacturer Bister from Jambes, Namur).
This is the monumental 5-liter XL model, which was used as a counter model in authentic grocery stores in the first half of the 20th century (approx. 1940). The mustard was sold by the grocer and scooped from an earthenware pot with a ladle.
Robust grey stoneware with the iconic cobalt blue decorative bands.
In a particularly beautiful, authentic condition. The black print is still razor-sharp and very clear in color. No major cracks or restorations, but a very fine hairline crack on the inner rim of the pot (see photos).
