Product description
This pair of Raku vases is a signed work by Bernard Lecomte, a ceramist from Menton. The peculiarity of these pieces lies in their spherical shape with a lid, topped by a sculptural, material element that contrasts with the smooth, crackled surface of the main body.
Made of ceramic using the Raku technique, the vases feature a vibrant turquoise glaze characterized by the typical dark cracks (craquelé) that this firing technique imparts. The lids are embellished with a raw, porous insert, reminiscent of natural elements such as bark or volcanic stone. Both pieces bear the engraved signature "Lecomte" on the base.
General conditions are excellent, with the natural material appearance and desired irregularities testifying to the authenticity of the Raku artisanal process. The glaze retains its original brilliance.
These sculptural vases fit perfectly into eclectic or wabi-sabi interiors, where natural materials and imperfect textures are valued. They can be displayed together on a console or shelf to create a visually striking focal point.
