CHAIRS | B&B ITALIA | DESIGN ANTONIO CITTERIO | EL | 2009 Set of 2 original B&B Italia EL dining chairs, made with a solid wooden frame and light/cream-white leather upholstery. Both chairs feature the original B&B Italia markings and the EL model label. The EL was designed in 2009 and combines a slender solid wooden base with a continuous, upholstered seat and back shell; the internal construction consists of steel profiles and cold-formed polyurethane foam. Antonio Citterio is an Italian architect and industrial designer who has a long-standing collaboration with B&B Italia and received the Compasso d’Oro in 1987 and 1994. B&B Italia produces the EL in Italy and specifies for the model a solid wooden frame, internal steel construction, and upholstery in fabric or leather. The current new price starts at 1,197 euros per chair and is still available in various versions. DIMENSIONS Width: 50 cm Depth: 54.5 cm Total height: 80 cm Seat height: 46 cm Material: solid wood, steel, polyurethane foam, and leather. PLEASE NOTE Used set in very good condition with only minor signs of wear and some local discoloration/soiling of the light leather; see photos. Both chairs are originally marked B&B Italia / EL. An interesting set for those looking for two identical, originally marked B&B Italia chairs without immediately purchasing a larger dining set.
