Product description
Mid-Century Modern glass sconce produced in Europe during the 1940s. The fixture features a multi-tiered, shell-shaped shade composed of heavy hand-blown glass with a striking blue marbled and mottled opaline texture. This structural form diffuses light outwards through its dappled surface while channeling an open wash of illumination upward against the wall surface. Mounted on a minimalist brass wall fixture, the organic patterning and vibrant tint offer a graphic pop characteristic of late twentieth-century decorative glass. Place as an accent pair flanking a bathroom mirror or illuminating a modern hallway. Very Good vintage condition. The thick glass shell is completely pristine, showing minimal surface dust and no chips, fractures, or structural cracks.
