Product description
This is a sculptural wall or ceiling lamp, designed by the Italian master Gaetano Sciolari and produced by the Belgian S.A. Boulanger in the 1970s. The piece is an excellent example of the Hollywood Regency style, characterized by its bold geometric shape and luxurious material combination.
This fixture is primarily a pendant lamp, but would also look beautiful against a wall (possibly rotated 45 degrees). If desired, the fixture can be adapted for this. Please contact us for this option.
Furthermore, the central socket can be switched separately, which means, for example, that this light can also remain on full-time...
Because the ceiling rose was once shortened, the S.A. Boulanger brand text has disappeared, but its authenticity is guaranteed.
The lamp is constructed from a grid of brass-colored metal tubes that form a dynamic, three-dimensional pattern. At the intersections, thirteen light points are placed in contrasting black, rectangular holders with a gunmetal finish. This design, produced in Belgium, reflects the Space Age influences of that period and creates an impressive visual statement. The lamp is designed for thirteen E14 bulbs of a maximum of 40 watts each. It comes with 13 new dimmable LED mirror-top bulbs with a gold top.
The overall condition of the lamp is good, in accordance with its age and use. The brass has developed a limited, inconspicuous patina on four tubes, which contributes to the vintage character of the object. The structure is solid and all components are original, emphasizing the historical value of the piece. The lamp emits a warm and atmospheric light, which is enhanced by the use of mirror-top bulbs.
As an imposing lighting object, this lamp functions as both illumination and a work of art. It is an ideal eye-catcher for a spacious living room, dining room, or a representative hall and fits seamlessly into an eclectic, modern, or Hollywood Regency interior.
